Tuesday 31st August 2021
Dear Parents, Carers and children
I hope you have all had an enjoyable summer.
The staff and I are all very excited to welcome you all back to school on Thursday 2nd September, for Years One to Year Six, and Reception and Nursery next week – the week beginning Monday 6th September.
School building improvements over the summer
Over the summer we have spruced up some of the junior and infant building corridors with a fresh coat of paint on the walls, had some new carpet laid on the year 6 corridor and refreshed some of the seating furniture.
Our biggest re-modelling and refurbishment over the summer is the outdoor area in Place2be –this renovation is a substantial improvement and now a great resource for children who access it.
Covid SAFE Risk Assessment and routines for school
School Covid Risk Assessment: We are currently in the process of finalising a review of our Risk Assessment in light of the updated in new government and LA guidelines. Whilst we want to reflect in school the relaxing of the Covid regulations as they are in the rest of society, we also want to retain some precautions to keep children, staff and our community as safe as possible. The school Risk Assessment will be put on our school website by Thursday morning. A link to it will be sent out via our school app.
Key Highlights:
School Entrance and Exit (ONE WAY SYSTEM to remain in place)
Entrance through Nursery gate and exit through Infant gate.
Entrance through the Junior gate and exit through the subway gate.
School Day
School Opens: 8.40am – 8.50am
School Closes/Pickup: 3.15pm-3.25pm
Gates will open and close promptly. Please ensure children arrive on time each day and are collected on time too.
Face Coverings
In line with guidance from Liverpool City Council we ask Parents/Carers to wear face coverings on the playgrounds during drop off and collection as this is a busy period.
We will continue to ask visitors coming into the school building to wear a face mask.
Bubbles
Children will no longer be restricted to working and playing outside in year group bubbles. However as highlighted in our Risk Assessment this will be kept under review.
Uniform
Children must all be in full school uniform.
